Policies & permissions
A shared place, with clear expectations.
The Commons helps neighbors find one another, share their October and take part. These terms explain the responsibilities that come with using the site.
Who runs the Commons
Bixby Knolls Commons is a LightLab neighborhood initiative. Contact the Commons if you have a question about the site, your account or something published here.
Accounts and participation
Use accurate information for your account and only act for a place or contribution you are entitled to represent. Keep sign-in codes private. Membership establishes a relationship with the Commons; it does not make your address public or enroll you in optional updates. Program eligibility and availability can differ.
What you contribute
You keep ownership of your original work. Contributions must follow Photo permissions, Place permissions, Community standards and the rules of the program you enter. Permission to operate a public listing is separate from permission to use a person’s likeness in promotion.
Keeping the Commons useful
Do not misuse accounts, submit material you have no right to share, bypass access controls, scrape private information, interfere with the site or manipulate a contest. The Commons may review, hold or remove material that breaks its rules. Ask through Contact about a decision; use an available appeal when one is offered.
The site and outside services
The website, map and connected services can be interrupted, delayed or out of date. Visiting & map information explains practical limits before you head out. Links to other services lead to their own terms and privacy practices. A listing or link does not mean the Commons endorses every activity, product or statement associated with it.
Changes and questions
Each published revision carries its effective date. Material changes are explained here. New wording does not silently expand permission already given for an earlier contribution. Contact the Commons about access, a correction or a concern.
