Policies & permissions
A little care before you head out.
The Commons helps you discover the neighborhood. The map is a guide, and real conditions can change.
Hours, hosts and public paths
Check the current listing and respect the host’s hours. Decorations, lights, treats and participation can change without notice. Stay on public paths unless a host clearly welcomes visitors into a particular area. A marker is not permission to enter a home or property.
Routes and accessibility
Route suggestions and preferences help you plan; they do not certify that every sidewalk, crossing or stop is safe, open or accessible. Host-reported accessibility details are not an inspection. Check conditions, use your judgment and choose another route when needed. Offline information can be older than the current map.
Treats and allergies
Treat information comes from hosts and can change. Check ingredients and packaging directly with the host. A listing cannot guarantee that a treat is allergen-free or suitable for a particular person. Children should visit with appropriate adult supervision.
Good Glow recognition
Good Glow recognizes a host’s completion of the checkup steps. It is not a safety inspection, certification, accessibility assessment or guarantee about conditions at a place. Hosts and visitors still need to use care.
Weather, traffic and emergencies
Plan for weather, visibility, traffic and your own needs. Follow local rules and respect other neighbors. Contact emergency services for an urgent threat or medical emergency. The Commons’ contact and reporting tools are not continuously monitored emergency channels.
Something needs fixing?
Contact the Commons about a map error or listing concern. If you are reporting an unsafe condition, describe the location and observation without including unnecessary personal information.
